The former St John's Ambulance HQ on Bath Street Frome is now up for auction, after failing to sell after five months on the market.

The huge building, over 3,400 square feet, has been on market since February this year and now the auction has been set and, perhaps surprisingly, the guide price is just £235,000.

On June 21 it will be auctioned through Savills. It is actually two buildings, a pair both listed as Grade II, Church Hill House. The auctioneer have photos of the interior of the building HERE

In 2020, St John Ambulance announced it would close a third of its buildings as a cost-saving measure in response to the coronavirus crisis.

At the time the charity owned, or leased, a total of 352 buildings, 117 of which were being shut in an effort to close a £20m funding gap. Further buildings came in for a review later in 2021 to further cut the charity's losses.
