Date: 12.07.2018Time: 07:30Location: Salisbury Plain - Impacting Frome, Wells and Shepton MalletWe have received various reports stating that there is strong smell of smoke and hazy smoke visible in the areas of Frome, Wells and Shepton Mallet.
Due to strong winds, this smoke has drifted to these areas as a result of a large controlled burn being conducted on Salisbury Plain.If you are within this area however and still unsure and concerned as to the source and location of smoke please call 999.
