Coronavirus closure: Millers Homestores in Frome shuts up

One of the most traditional stores in Frome has closed due to coronavirus.

Millers first opened its doors to the residents of Frome in 1906 as a small china and hardware shop. Over the course of the 20th century, the shop moved locations within the town several times in order to accommodate a growing business.

Back in the 30s it was winning first prize in the carnival - as you can see from the photo above.

In 1973, Millers moved to its current position in the Westway Precinct, Frome.

Now it has now put a sign in the window saying it is sorry to have to close and looks forward to seeing customers soon.
