Staff and pupils at Critchill School in Frome are "delighted" to have been awarded 'outstanding' in all six judgement areas by Ofsted in a recent inspection conducted in November.

The school, which is a part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership, caters for pupils with complex and severe learning needs.

Headteacher, Emma West said: "Pupils demonstrated exceptionally strong attitudes to their learning throughout the inspection and were excellent ambassadors for the school.

"Staff work continuously to enhance provision at the school.

"I am delighted with the personalised nature of the report and how it captures the school's values and aspirations for children and young people."

Executive headteacher, Sophie Addison added: '"The school has undergone rapid and sustained improvement since its last graded inspection in 2018, with a particular focus on providing pupils with a 'profoundly personalised' curriculum and preparing all young people for adulthood.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised as Outstanding in all areas."
