For two weeks Frome College students are taking part in a Readathon, raising money for the charity Read for Good who provide books and story tellers for children in hospital.

During the school day the College will be running DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) for ten minute sessions.

Until March 20 they are asking students to get sponsorship for their reading – any amount can make a difference. Students who read more can earn themselves some prizes.

Students can choose whatever they want to read - from comics to classics - they are not being assessed, it's all about reading for fun. And, the money they raise in sponsorship helps to provide a regular supply of brand new books and a resident storyteller to every major children's hospital in the UK.

The sponsorship can be found here: the readathon sponsor page.

In addition to helping the charity, Frome College will also get free books worth 20% of the sponsorship total.
