Over the next six weeks, Frome College pupil Patrick Mead, will be filmed on the college site talking about

the loss of his sister, Lauren Mead, to Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).

The filming will be used for a BBC documentary to be screened later on this year.

The year 13 pupil has been involved in fundraising and raising awareness for the charity, most recently by shaving his head, which has raised a total of £1,700.

Meantime a recent school-wide mufti day raised £1,140.65 in Lauren's honour. Her family chose two charities to support ; SADS and the Nyota Ing'arayo (Shining Star) Charitable Trust, working towards health, education and attendance at a school in Mombasa.

At the time Mr Mead said: "On behalf of the family I would like to say thank you for everyone's continued support."

For more information about the charity, visit their web site: the Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) site.
