The team behind the alternative option for the last town centre site open to development in Mendip, will be streaming the decision on whether it can be put on the board LIVE this Thursday in Frome.

Their plan has been confirmed for the August 17th Planning Board meeting scheduled to start at 6pm and they will be showing the meeting at the Silk Mill.

The Mayday team say : " If permission is granted, our plan will be in the same position as the Acorn Property Group plan. We then expect Mendip District Council and Somerset County Council to meet with us to discuss the purchase of the site.

We firmly believe that our plan and delivery model for Saxonvale is the most advantageous for the council and the town, and we look forward to working positively with them to make it a reality. "

Their offer includes the UK's first Tiny Homes community, 11,000 sqm of employment space and an outdoor lido.

The campaign for a different plan for the central Frome site saw hundreds 'hug' the area earlier this year and has been an ongoing battle for planning for years.
