Set in the library in the centre of town there is a permanent community seed swap.

And in a case like Nub News of being hyper local, organisers want the set to be locally produced, open pollinated seed, specifically adapted for the conditions of Frome.

As they explain IT IS FROME'S SEED.

How does it work ?

Well bring along your surplus sees (no F1 varieties please) put them in a clearly marked envelope and post them in the donation box at Frome Library.

You are then FREE to take a packet of seeds donated by another grower.

They said: " We really want people to sow the seeds, admire/eat some of them and share their experiences with us. But to make the library work, we'd love for people to allow some of their plants go to seed, and to return some of that seed to us, so we can start the cycle all over again !"
