Nub News saw a few places had left their trees to be collected by Dorothy House, so you will be thrilled to learn you were part of a record-breaking weekend.

2024 was the eighth year of running the charity's Christmas tree collections.

With the help of over 200 incredible volunteers, they visited a whopping 5,500 address across 17 postcodes to collect trees for recycling.

The charity say they are thrilled to share that this year's collection, in partnership with Just Helping, has raised over £97,000.

Dorothy House Hospice posted : "Thank you to everyone who donated to this year's collection - we're over the moon to have raised such an amazing amount. And of course, a huge thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who gave up their time over the weekend to support us - we couldn't have done it without you "
