Selwood Academy student, Emma Davis, 13, had a special delivery from Cancer Research UK last month.

After being diagnosed with Leukaemia at the beginning of March this year, Emma has undergone intensive chemotherapy treatment spending time in both Bristol Children's Hospital and the Royal United Hospital in Bath.

The special delivery was a Cancer Research UK Star Award in recognition of the courage she has shown during the last nine months of treatment. Mum, Sarah explained: "As a family, we're always telling her how brilliantly she's dealing with the treatment and the horrible side effects, but having her medical team at the RUH nominate her for this award, has given her a real boost and sense of pride.

"Treatment is ongoing for Emma until June 2022, but she has endured so much already, this award couldn't have come at a better time."
