In their continued campaigning nationwide against Barclays bank investments in fossil fuel, the Frome group were back today (February 20) at the market place branch.

XR say that Barclays is the biggest European funder of fossil fuels, investing £137 billion since the Paris Climate accord of 2015.

Protestors in Frome were dressed as cleaners and had draped the bank in 'oil'.

They are encouraging Barclays customers to tell the bank to clean up its act, or to walk across the road to the Coventry Building Society which do not invest in fossil fuels and move their accounts.

Last week the XR campaigners used Valentine's Day to block a private jet entrance at Luton Airport, parking a boat outside the gates.
