Frome Town Football have urged fans to come and support them in a big first of the season - but stay distanced.

They are playing Evesham up at The Robins' Nest tonight at 7.45 pm and there will be tickets on the gate.

But the chairman of the club has once again stressed that it is

very important, that during what he calls " awful times " that all spectators must be careful to abide by the strict rules of distancing around the ground.

Chairman Derek Graham writes in the match programme : " Particularly on the veranda, keeping your bubble groups apart from each other. If not, we will see all our football returning to being played behind

closed doors!! And none of us want that, as none of our clubs will be able to survive without the gate money."

This is particularly timely as today The Premier League will be meeting and although it is not tabled on the agenda the issue of any bailout for the English Football League will be discussed.

The Robins are playing Evesham United, in their first home League fixture of the season. As Derek Graham writes in the pre match programme " Evesham had a good 2-1 win against Central Premier league side, Biggleswade Town, in the FA Trophy on Saturday, so will come down full of confidence for tonight's game, and will give us

a difficult test."

Following their opening day win away to Mangotsfield, Frome will be confident of claiming 6 points from 6 under the lights tonight at the Robin's Nest.
