Making a point : Taking a point. Frome Town FC draw against Worcestershire side

By Susie Watkins 29th Sep 2020

"They read us like a book" was the assessment of one Frome Town football fan after The Robins drew 2 : 2 against Evesham United in a hotly contested game up at The Nest.

The home side were all action in the first part of the game, but lost momentum as the opposition saw the play and targeted Kane Simpson to hold their line.

With a respectable sized crowd of 284 the game was enjoyable as the food on offer by game sponsor My Greek Fat Wraps.

But many spectators might agree that the play became a little less appetising as the game progressed and they went into half time one goal short.

That said there were some lovely set pieces and towards the latter half of the second half, Jack Witcombe in his Number 2 shirt out paced and out raced some weary Evesham United legs.

A late penalty equaliser from Alex Monks did the job and Frome are now set up for the weekend's FA cup match.
