Frome Town Football is likely to have its first home game on December 12 - if the lockdown restrictions are eased as planned.
Following the Southern League announcement about the return of games, the team had tried to make their first home game on December 5.
But that now seems unlikely.
Yesterday (November 20) the team asked fans to expect a game later in the month, although the players will be back before then, hoping for an away match on 8th of December for their FA Trophy Round 1 match away to North Leigh.
On their media the club said: " This will be followed by a home tie against Bristol Manor Farm on Saturday 12th. Please note this is no longer a Friday night match. Tickets will go on sale shortly.
"We are expecting to return with the same limitations on our capacity (400), however we are still awaiting confirmation. "The club had tried to explore the option of a match on the 5th December prior to the FA trophy match. However it is more likely that a training match will be in place behind closed doors. " This is altogether more optimistic than the managers and fans had been when they played their last match up at The Nest on November 3 when they drew 1:1 against AFC Totton. There was widespread speculation that boots might not be back on the ground until Boxing Day.
