Black Swan Arts has received £54,000 from the Culture Recovery Fund, one of two venues in Frome to have help.
They said: " This emergency funding is an organisational lifeline. It enables us, as a community arts centre, to support the artists and makers who have been so acutely affected by the pandemic. "
Frome's Frome Cheese & Grain will receive £98,000.
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport and Arts Council England announced that 1385 arts and cultural organisations are to receive a share of £257 million as part of a vital financial boost from the Government's £1.57 billion fund.
In the South West it is hoped that the investment will help save 172 theatres, galleries, performance groups, arts organisations, museums and music venues facing the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, to ensure they have a sustainable future and continue to bring joy to local communities and international audiences.
Millions more pounds worth of CRF funding is set to be announced over the coming weeks.
