Boots Opticians, which has a branch on Cheap Street in Frome, has confirmed that it will remain open during lockdown.

The company has put out a UK wide statement to confirm that, as an essential healthcare provider, they can and will continue to see customers over the coming weeks.

As an essential service, it is also able to continue taking bookings for eye and hearing tests.

You can book online to secure your appointment or call on 0345 125 3768 but the company is warning that call volumes are high at the moment and they may not answer as quickly as normal.
