The already postponed once Frome College Prom for the Year 11 - has been cancelled once again.

The party - due tomorrow (October 1) was cancelled due to the rising number of coronavirus positive cases in the college with a letter only sent today (September 3) in the afternoon.

According to a pupil at the college there are ten teachers who are off with the virus too - according to the government interactive web site, there are 44 recorded positive cases in that area.

The College has already been forced to curtail activities on site following a rise in cases since the term resumed.

The Prom was originally scheduled to celebrate the end of the formal school year back in the summer but was cancelled on July 12. It was rescheduled for the autumn, even though pupils had moved to other colleges and some into work.
