If you spot this Frome director out and about with his dog - give him a wave - he is on an important charity endeavour.

Frome RFC Director of Rugby, Cameron Hastie is taking on a massive challenge for all of February, and right now his problem has been

staying on track.

Cameron, who first joined the Frome club in 1993, and became director three years ago, has for the first few days, run more than he needed to. Even in spite of the 'help' of his faithful hound.

His aim is to hit a target of 100 miles in February in aid of the Bone Cancer Research Trust.

He is also running a pretty impressive fundraising amount, but more is always welcome.

Super fit Cameron told Nub News he will run what it takes to raise awareness and hopefully increase the contribution to a worthy cause.

You can watch his post after his first day out and how his mascot and running partner has been less than helpful by clicking above.

And spare a thought for his dog Finley, who is accompanying his master on his marathon task.

Cameron has already raised over £600 and has run a pretty consistent mileage. He completed 5.25 miles on day one and 5.61 miles on day two with a similar goal for each day, until the end of February.

Every ten minutes somewhere another child, teenager or adult is diagnosed with this brutal disease and they face a five-year chance of survival at little over 50%. This drops even further if the disease is discovered late and has already progressed.
