If you heard sirens at 4pm today (December 9) it would have been a fire engine from Frome heading to Coleford.

The crew from Frome were joined by an engine Shepton Mallet at a chimney fire at a home in the village.

On arrival crews confirmed a blockage within the chimney breast. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and damage was confined to just the chimney.
