If you heard sirens late evening on April 18, two fire crews were called out to blaze at Tower View.

Two fire appliances from Frome were called out after a tumble dryer caught fire in a property.

Everyone in the building was evacuated while the crews got to work with breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet in the ground floor kitchen, extinguishing the fire. Gas and electricity to the property was isolated, and the tumble dryer was eventually removed from the building.

Crews used a thermal imaging camera to check for possible fire spread, and cleared the property of smoke using a positive pressure fan.

The property was badly damaged by the fire with the cause ruled accidental.
