Frome thrill fans with nail biting end to their FA dream.

Excuse the pun but it really did rain on Frome's parade today (October 3) with they were dumped out of the FA cup.

And to add insult to a number of injuries on the pitch, as both sides sometimes let their competitive edge get the better of manners, they were dumped out in a penalty shoot out.

All in all it was a tasty match with lots of great play, but in the end not the result they wanted.

Nil nil at half time and with the rain unrelenting, the teams slid back onto the pitch ready to battle it out and battle they did.

A goal from Larkhall's Lewis Powell put The Robins on the backfoot and it looked as bleak as the weather. When a driven shot from Alex Monks hit the post it seemed luck was against the home side, in front of a near capacity crowd of 345.

It was down to one man to restore the faith for Frome - and as ever Jon Davies was the reliable boot who put Frome at level pegging.

So at one all - a final whistle - and a total of three yellow cards the game went straight to penalties.

And that was sadly where it unravelled - with some great saves - it was 4:3 to Larkhall who celebrated in front of their delighted fans.
