The Frome branch of Greggs is NOT one of the list 800 shops that will open from Thursday.

A spokesman for the company has confirmed to Nub News that it will open at the earliest in July.

The business, based in Newcastle plans to announce a further 1,000 shops re-opening in the next two weeks.

The company had been allowed to stay open during the coronavirus pandemic, but shut up shops with them saying that they did not want to risk the safety of employees.

The nearest Greggs to re-open from tomorrow will be in Trowbridge.

Earlier this year all employees, including those in Frome, enjoyed a one off bonus of £300 from the company after sales jumped more than 13% last year.
