Due to the low temperatures and broken heating Frome Library has closed (January 17) and is not expected to re-open until Saturday.

The library say all loans will be extended during this time.

The library was also closed in early December for several days from the 2nd, again after the heating broke down.

Ironically the town library is listed as one of the warm spaces residences can go to as temperatures drop.

It is also home to a Citizens Advice kiosk for anyone who has problems with finances and council matters, in particular debt issues, for those who have no internet or phone access.

The library says it will update next week, once it has more information.
