Frome Medical Practice has issued an update this morning (April 13). Following the government announcement that over 45s are now eligible for the vaccine the practice has had a high levels of calls.
The practice, is asking people to not call and instead to take note of their update.
Frome Medical Practice is experiencing high levels of calls about the COVID-19 vaccination programme. Please take note of the following:
COHORT 10 - UNDER 50s WITH NO UNDERLYING HEALTH CONDITIONS
We are delivering COVID-19 vaccinations for Cohorts 1 to 9.
Please do not call to try and make an appointment for your vaccinations if you are in Cohort 10.
If you are aged under 50 and do not have an underlying health condition which makes you vulnerable to COVID-19 the NHS will be inviting you to attend a mass vaccination centre.
Or you can visit the NHS website https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ to book your appointment but we understand that service is extremely busy today (Tuesday 13th April.)
SECOND DOSE APPOINTMENTS
If you are waiting for your second vaccination please do not call us to make this appointment. We will be in touch with you to arrange this so please wait to be contacted by us.
The practice is also asking that patients share this message with friends and family who might not otherwise see it.
