The Frome MP David Warburton has had the Conservative whip removed following allegations under claims about his conduct.

The MP has been examined by parliament's independent complaints and grievance ICGS .

He is accused of behaving inappropriately - more details as we have them.

His Twitter account has been suspended amid allegations of allegedly sexual assault of three women and receiving an undisclosed amount of unsecured loans amounting to many thousands of pounds.

Mr Warburton has been MP for Somerton and Frome since 2015.

A spokesperson for the Whips Office said the party whip had been removed while the investigation was ongoing.

His suspension follows an investigation by the Sunday Times newspaper.

Mr Warburton is chair of the all-party parliamentary group on music and has previously been a member of the European scrutiny committee.
