Planning applications received by Mendip planners this week include:
An application has been put in to build two three-bedroom homes on the site of garages on Dyers Close Lane jn Frome BA11 3DH. The application has been made by the Aster Group and is now open for comments under ref. No: 2020/0959/FUL .
There will be a special provision to protect nesting swallows on planning consent 2020/0372/HS, involving an application made by New Farm on Shepherds Lane in East Woodlands,. The farm has applied to demolish an existing tractor shed and build a triple garage and summer house to the rear of the property. Under Ref. No: 2020/1165/APP they will also need to build in some shelter for the swallows, along with building two artificial nest cups.
An application has been made to build a single storey rear extension, and to make some internal alterations at 6 Orchard Close in Frome BA11 4EA , Ref. No: 2020/1086/HSE.
An application has been made to make internal alterations and re-arrange the layout of Flat 1 at 2 Bath Street Frome BA11 1DG

No: 2020/0174/FUL Planners have allowed the building of a cabin at 13 Somerset Road Frome BA11 1HB. Ref. No: 2020/0936/CLP. They have approved details reserved by conditions 13 (drainage scheme), 14 (foul drainage) on planning consent 2019/2844/FUL.for a plot South of Uplands in Innox Hill in Frome, where an application has been made to build a house.
An application for work including a new ground floor entrance hall, kitchen and raising the roof to provide a new first floor bedroom and bathroom at the The Old Forge on Blatchbridge Roundabout has been given approval with conditions.
An application to build a single storey rear extension at 9 The Granary High Street in Oakhill has been approved.
An application for prior notification of agricultural development for a proposed building at Lower Egford Farm on the Old Wells Road (Ref. No: 2020/1006/AGB) has been decided : Prior Approval is not required.
Two stables will be built on existing agricultural land adjacent to Fairview along Foghamshire Lane in Trudoxhill Ref. No: 2020/0696/FUL after planners ruled it could be approved with conditions.
