Frome planning applications this week include some plans for signs for RISE

The planning department at Mendip Council is continuing to work, although its offices are not open to the public.
One big decision made this week: an application to build a bouldering wall in Frome, the first of its kind in the area, has been passed.

Other decisions made by the planners this week include:
The application for a certificate of lawful existing development for detached residential garage at the Bushes Railford Hill Whatley in Frome has been ruled lawful.
An application to put a single storey extension to the rear of 12 Vine Gardens Frome BA11 2LX, has been ruled lawful.
A proposed rear and side extension and dropped kerb following change of use approval at 6 Vicarage Street Frome BA11 1PX, has been approved with conditions.
The application to build a single storey rear extension at 30 Bath Road in Frome has been passed with notice that prior approval was not required.
Builders who want to use land to store building materials and vehicles at Bleets Farm on Feltham Hill in Frome have been told they can go ahead.
A partial change of use application made for 2 Ashton Park Handlemaker Road Frome BA11 4RW into partly retail use has been approved with conditions.
And plans to remove a hedgerow to create a new farm access at Palmers Farm on Rudge Lane in Standerwick have been approved.
Applications made to Mendip this week include:
Rise Community Hub at the United Reformed Church on Whittox Lane in Frome has applied to install two surface fixed case signs, one metal hanging sign and one wall mounted sign. This application (2020/0717/LBC) is open for comments.
An application has been made to make alterations and refurbish an existing property, including the erection of a two storey rear/side extension and garage at Kaylow at Rosedale Walk in Frome.
