On line grocery shopping from Morrisons is now on Amazon - available in Frome and the surrounding areas- following the roll out of the delivery service today (October 31).

The launch of 'Morrisons on Amazon' in Frome follows launches throughout the last two years across the country.

David Potts, Morrisons Chief Executive, said: "Our continued partnership with Amazon means that even more customers across Warminster can now receive same-day Morrisons groceries straight to their doors. As well as everyday essentials and branded items our customers are also able to order freshly prepared products from skilled Market Street colleagues including our butchers, fishmongers and bakers."

John Boumphrey, Amazon UK Country Manager, said: " Bringing together Morrisons' fantastic food with Amazon's fast same-day delivery offers the best of both worlds to our Prime members, and we hope we can help people get what they need quickly and safely, all at no extra cost."

In October 2021, a US private equity firm won a £7billion auction to acquire Morrisons supermarket, started as an egg and butter merchant in Rawson Market, Bradford, in 1899.

Back in September Morrisons then bought all of McColl's 1,160 stores when it faced bankruptcy and so some Morrison branded products are already in the Frome branch of McColl's in Badcox.
