As of the 22nd of September, the popular clubhouse at Frome Town F.C. has new management with Sam Clift and Georgie Illston-Baggs taking over the day to day operations. Sam and Georgie currently manage the successful bar and restaurant - 'The Lodge' - in Warminster, which has a strong reputation for live events such as ever popular Lodge-Fest.

The change of management is enabling the club to under going some further improvements internally. With a strong focus on providing an amazing clubhouse experience for supporters during match days and for all other functions or occasions. The clubhouse remains an ever popular location for private and community events, with a variety of rooms available to cater for all events, including darts, skittles and pool as well as showing live TV sport.

The entire venue will be rebranded as 'The Clubhouse' as part of the transition.

Sam Clift said: "We are looking forward to adding 'The Clubhouse' to what is already a fantastic live music and event scene in Frome. Our first ever event at 'The Clubhouse' is on the 1st October, and who else other than The Wurzels to kick us off. We are hoping these are the first of many familiar names we host at this venue. Away from the event and music space, we are looking forward to putting our own touch on the clubhouse making it a welcoming space for all to enjoy live sport, pool, games and more. We also want to bring a version of our festival to Frome Town Football Club next summer, but on a bigger scale!"

Frome Town A.F.C. Chairman, Derek Graham added: "The clubhouse is an essential part of our football club, win or lose, rain or shine - it's a place where our supporters should continue to feel at home before and after our Men's and Women's matches. Having spoken to Sam and Georgie at length, it's great to hear the enthusiasm and new ideas that they will be looking to introduce. With new live events and all major sports coverage, it's the place of choice for anyone living locally to come be part of our football community. We wish them both the best of luck and we will be supporting them fully during their tenancy.

The clubhouse will be open from 24th September for Frome Carnival After Party and Presentations, with the Wurzels performing on 1st October following the football club's home game against Hamworthy United.

The Clubhouse are asking for anyone that may have a booking in place with the previous tenants to get in contact with them as soon as possible to ensure they are aware of any previous bookings.
