Frome Avanti Park School is pleased to report some outstanding achievements by its students in their GCSEs this summer.

Over 69% of the students achieved at least a grade 4 in English and Maths, 17% at grade 7 and above. This is an excellent achievement. For a small cohort the range of GCSEs studied was impressive. Students could choose from 14 subjects including Mandarin.

Students who achieved at the highest level include Freida, Kyla, and Orran, with 13 Grade 9's, 7 Grade 8's and 3 Grade 7's between them.

This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards.

Principal Abby Atkins said: "We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students, especially after such a difficult and disrupted year. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure students are all able to progress onto further education and study, and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future."
