Some familiar faces have been back at the Frome weekly market.

Harts have been serving up the freshest fish to Frome every Wednesday and Saturday between 7am and 1pm. A fifth generation of fishmongers you can read their fascinating story here:

For stallholder Mike John, coming to the Frome market is usually a winter event, but now all the main agricultural shows have been cancelled, including the Bath & West, he is focusing his trader more locally.

He told Nub News: " We don't yet know about the Bath Christmas markets whether they go ahead we don't yet know. So I am doing Wednesdays and Saturdays here.

" In the last few weeks I have had some quite good days, we get a lot of good feedback - people saying good to see you back. It is good because it is local for us. We could do with a few more traders but once the Cheese & Grain gets up and running we will get busier.

" If there are any local traders who do the Independent then it would be good to have them here."

Jodie Marklew also does the Frome market on a Wednesday and Saturday, and then Standerwick boot sale on the weekends, is more of a regular.

Jodie has been doing the markets since she can remember - having done the stall with her father and then taking over when he retired.

" It is lovely to be back and speaking to all our customers, " she told Nub News.
