Frome super fundraiser Owen Hillier is still walking to raise funds for Dorthy House Hospice care.

Rain or shine - indoors if it is wet - and as of today (June 18) he has raised a total of £18,600.

He started on Easter Sunday walking 100 metres every day - initially hoping to raise just one thousand pounds for the local hospice.

Having exceeded that expectation by miles - the 98 year old has a new target - he is hoping to raise £20,000.

His proud family told Nub News today (June 18) that in total Owen, a former treasurer for countless local charities including the Friends of Frome hospital, has walked almost 7 km.

His daughter, with whom Owen and his wife are isolating in Wales with said: " We are so proud of what he is doing. He has not missed a day. "
