In planning news in and around Frome this week - a local Chinese restaurant gives more details about landscaping plans

The Imperial Court Chinese Restaurant close to Frome has put in an application for for approval of details about its already agreed landscaping changes.
It refers to making sure that any changes will not increase any flooding risk around the area - as agreed by Wessex Water - and that the canopies around the restaurant will be red - in keeping with the nearby garage.
These are all the details reserved by conditions 4 (soft landscaping), 5 (surface water drainage system), 6 (materials - canopies) on planning consent 2019/2587/FUL which is now open for comment.
The application by the Imperial Court Chinese Restaurant at Ridgeway
in Nunney, BA11 4NX, has already been passed and agreed by Tudoxhill Parish Council, this is now about the materials they can use and the kind of plants they are going to put into the landscaping work. An application has been made to convert a barn into two homes at4 Bath Road in Beckington. Ref. No: 2020/1133/LBC.
Under reference 2020/1105/FUL, Faulkland Farm on Grove Lane in Faulkland wants to build a purpose-built agricultural portal type building for the use of dry cows and their calves.
And an application has been made to build a two bed home on land at
380481 154054 High Street in Rode. The reference is : 2020/0973/FUL. In planning decisions made this week within Mendip: An application to demolish an existing bungalow and industrial units, and build a new office building and six new two storey homes with associated parking and external works at Bonneyleigh View on Gypsy Lane in Frome, has been refused. The planning application reference is 2018/3111/FUL. An application to build a rear single extension at 3 Wedmore Close in Frome has been ruled lawful. An application to build a porch at 71 Keyford Frome has been approved. Works to the ice house at Babington House at Vobster Cross on Hatchett Hill have been approved. They are planning to repair mortar and stone work, replace missing and rotten oak lintels and replace an existing iron gate.
