Rugby Unions short form, rugby sevens returns to Frome on June 10th for its twelth instalment, we build on 2022's event and see another 56 teams from across the UK (and further afield), battling it out across 6 pitches whilst enjoying the festival atmosphere at what has become the biggest annual sevens event in the region.

The much-anticipated event will run 5 different levels of competition; Men's Super Social, Men's Social, Womens Social with highest level of rugby being played in the Women's Open and Men's Open. We also offer a prize fund of £750 for the winners of each the Men's and Womens Open.

The night before the 7s Festival (Friday 9th) the Club will play host to a 15 a side exhibition game, which will see Glamorgan RFC take on Lockerstash, which will be a great night's entertainment being played on our first team pitch and is completely free to come up and watch.

On the day will also have a number of Street Food vendors, including BBQ, Thai, Mexican, Pizza, Coffee and Ice Cream Vendors as well as our outside bar which is located between the pitches at Frome RFC's own "Toucans Bar".

Organiser Mike Rutt commented: "The Frome Sevens has long been established as a go to event in the rugby 7s calendar – and this year it promises to be right up with the best we've ever staged. "We've again got some really good sides taking part so there should be thrills and high-quality action from the first whistle. "Apart from the actual rugby, it's also a great day out for the whole family, with the accent firmly on everyone having fun in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere."

The whole tournament is completely free to come up and watch, with games starting at 10am with the Finals being played in the late afternoon/early evening, we will have music playing throughout the day creating a festival atmosphere which leads late into a great party in the evening in our Clubhouse.
