December's working lunch
December's working lunch

This spring sees some exciting new business-related events being hosted by Frome Town Council in association with the Frome Chamber of Commerce.

Following the success of the December event, the next 'Working Lunch' is being hosted at the Town Hall on 12th March, and the topic is "Smashing Social Media". With almost everyone using social media daily, the opportunity to promote your services and products on a personal level has never been greater. Come along to learn how to use social media to take your potential customers on the right journey and get a few tips from real life campaigns. The event will start with a delicious lunch and guests will have the opportunity to network together. This will be followed by a lively presentation and a Q&A led by Frome based TBT Marketing, a local marketing agency whose clients range from local organisations to global businesses. Tickets are £10 each and include the cost of lunch, further details can be found at www.frometowncouncil.gov.uk/frome-working-lunch

The 'Discuss and Do' series, which meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month from 6pm – 7:30pm at different venues around the town, is growing in popularity. Sessions covered so far in 2020 have been "Applying for business awards" and "LinkedIn Strategies that Deliver the Leads". Moving forward, the Discuss & Do sessions this spring will be exploring employing your first employee (24th March) and Podcasting – what's involved and is it right for your business (28th April); make sure you take a note of the dates, and look out for further details on the Frome Town Council website (www.frometowncouncil.gov.uk/discuss-and-do)

Cllr Andy Palmer, said: "Frome Town Council works hard, in conjunction with our colleagues at Frome Chamber of Commerce, to support the wide variety of local businesses present in the town and these events are great opportunities to gain new skills and insights in an informal, friendly atmosphere, while networking with local peers."
