Help Frome Countdown to Christmas

Unable to organise the town's normal Christmas activities this year, Frome Town Council are sprinkling Christmas cheer throughout December with a special Christmas Calendar Countdown. Residents can view the calendar on FTC's website each day during December and in the run up to Christmas; a new door will open up every day, it will reveal many festive ideas that the whole town can get involved with.

From putting up your Christmas tree to having a mince pie bake off with your neighbours – each day will bring something Christmassy. There are plenty of crafty activities to get stuck into – how about decorating your windows or making your own Christmas cards and front door wreath?

How about getting involved in the WHY Santa dash, donating to Fair Frome at the supermarket or helping out with the Frome's Big Christmas Get Together; there's lots of activities we can do for others during December too. And who is up for some doorstep Christmas carols on the 16th? We want everyone to join in this national challenge!

Mayor of Frome, Anita Collier, said: "I think this is a fabulous idea, there's loads of activities for young and old alike to keep us entertained during December. I'm especially looking forward to involving my neighbours in some of the ideas and taking time for some of the charitable activities that are included. We may be celebrating slightly differently this year but let's make Frome as festive as we possibly can!".

What will be behind door on December 1st? Pop back tomorrow to find out, you can find the calendar HERE: the Frome Countdown site

And keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages as we will be posting there daily too. We'd love to see how you are getting involved, so please share your pictures with us using #FromeFestiveCountdown.
