Some optimistic souls were hoping that the bus stops were operational

Workmen were taking down the barriers, painting in the central lines and clearing up today (October 1) as the works on the Frome Town Market Place came to a close.

The through road has been closed since June 22 and was initially scheduled to last 11 weeks. But those timings were extended - twice - due to more engineering work needing to be done, along with last minute Highways' work.

But now it seems that, barring any last minute hitches, it will be re-opening later today (October 1).
