Two local popular organisations, Pop-Up Comedy and the Merlin Theatre, have joined forces to bring The Comedy Eclectic, an exciting series of socially-distanced comedy shows, over the winter months, to the town of Frome, starting on Thursday 8th October.

Award-winning Kiwi (now local) stand-up comedian Jarred Christmas (as seen on Mock The Week, Russell Howard's Good News, 8 out of 10 Cats) hosts the very best from the international stand-up comedy scene. The opening show on October 8th will also bring the hilarious Marcel Lucont with, as described by Time Out, his "Wonderful French wit. His elegant, sardonic turns of phrase are an utter joy." and Robin Morgan.

Welshman Robin is "bloody funny" and "must surely be on the verge of nationwide fame" (Chortle). As seen / heard on The Now Show (BBC R4), Safe Space (BBC Radio 4) and Stand Up At BBC Wales (BBC One). He's written for Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats and The Mash Report and works as the warm-up artist for The Graham Norton Show.

The Comedy Eclectic and the Merlin Theatre have arranged for seating to be socially distanced which means that all seats must be booked in advance as audience numbers and tickets will be limited to ensure safety of staff as well, of course, as patrons.

The show will start at 7.30pm and audience members are encouraged to arrive in plenty of time to get drinks from the bar before settling in for a wonderful, side-splitting night of laughs.

Tickets are available from www.merlintheatre.co.uk
