It was a tall order - turn a humble go to dish into something amazing.

One of the teachers at Frome College challenged her pupils to turn the humble plate of beans on toast into something extraordinary - and she was not disappointed.

As you may have seen - with the story in national press and on television - student Gil Privett came in first place with a serene swan design.

Today (March 10) he was back at school and received his 'prize' which was served up by his teacher and is now on its way to the foodbank at Fair Frome.

The winning prize - the equivalent of Gil's height in cans of beans donated by Head of Food and DT at Frome College Emily McMunn.
