An exciting opportunity for a creative editor seeking to develop their career in children's fiction. Based in their small Frome office, you will be editing novels for 7+, middle-grade and YA readers and assisting with the acquisitions process. Chicken House is a small, highly individual children's book publishing company, home of bestselling authors Maz Evans, Cornelia Funke, Jasbinder Bilan and Kiran Millwood Hargrave. The ideal candidate will hit the ground running – they will be bringing some editorial experience to the role, though not necessarily in children's books, and will be keen to develop into acquisitions.
