Work as a facilities engineer

You would need to be what the company describes as a 'multi skilled engineer'.

As the Facilities Engineer you will support site engineering teams to identify potential savings and advise on the efficient use of site utilities services. Also to ensure that they comply with legislative and company ethical standards in terms of safety, food hygiene and staff management. Job specifications include:

  • Assist contractor with boiler servicing, air compressors servicing, chilled water plants maintenance, cleaning, and repairs.
  • Organise and carry out testing of all water supplies, legionella, effluent and cooling towers when the wastewater technician is on annual leave or off site
  • Carry out PPM and corrective actions for utilities equipment.

Are you a qualified teacher?

Wessex Lodge School & Newmead Farm (positions cover across both locations) is looking for someone, salary: starting from £30,000 per annum upwards. Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and obviously that is term time only.

Work as a cleaning supervisor

Paying £11.40 per hour.

Your work would include, canteen areas - sanitising tables, chairs, doors, sweeping and mopping floors and the locker rooms and toilet areas. More details HERE

Over in Somerton, work as a children's support worker

Do you have some care experience and are looking for a new role?Due to an expansion of children's homes in Somerset, there is an opportunity available for Support Workers who are looking for a new role or to step into children's services.

As a support worker, you will stay with the children in the home for 24- or 48-hour shifts and support them with day-to-day life, including appointments, education, family visits and hobbies. The roles are available as temporary to permanent, which is a great opportunity for you to go in, check you like the service and organisation before committing fully.

The likely time scale would be three months before you moved over.

The homes are specially designed to support children with complex care needs and are multi-occupancy homes. You will be provided with a training programme and development, where you can have access to gaining NVQ level 3, 4 and 5 and progress into management positions.

Temporary immediate work

An advert for membership executives to join a Frome team on a temporary basis (although it could lead to a full time role).

The business that is hiring offers personalised telephone contact services to high profile membership organisations, to reach out and speak to their members on their behalf.

You will primarily be working on a wide variety of client campaigns, responsible for making and receiving calls, sending emails, updating records and on occasions taking payment details.

You will preferably have the following, although not essential: • Excellent communications skills with a clear confident telephone manner • Good IT skills and to be confident in Microsoft Outlook and Excel • A positive attitude and be self-motivated to deliver a high quality of work • Great attention to detail • GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
