Campaigners looking for ways to revive the Frome to Radstock rail line have been boosted by an overwhelming number of responses to a survey to see if residents are interested.

Over 450 people have now taken part in the survey, to gauge interest in restoring the line.

The survey's title is very simply: Would you use and support the restoration of the railway service between Radstock and the National rail network?

The survey has been started by a group under the umbrella title of the North Somerset Railway.

They want to reintroduce national railway operations between Radstock and the Somer valley, and onto the national rail network through partnerships with GWR, Network Rail, and the local councils.

You can take part in the survey by clicking here:

the survey website and it only takes a few minutes

In 1925, there were nine or ten trains per day between Radstock and Frome.
