Have you ever wondered how tall the Queen is?

Well now you can find out and get up close to the royal with a life size selfie model of Her Majesty just arrived in Frome, just in time for the Platinum Jubilee

As part of a big line up of party fun at the town centre hotel The George, everyone can enjoy a snap for the Queen's Jubilee.

There are loads of events and activities planned for customers - all free - to celebrate the Jubilee.

The pub will be decorated with balloons and bunting, with colouring for the kids, word puzzles and competition for the adults, a medal for the best dressed customer and this, the selfie station.

All the entertainment will also have a right British soundtrack, so expect the music of Elton John, Queen and, of course, The Beatles.

The George came under new management last August with the proprietors keen to be as community-supportive as possible. They offer up their meeting room, with the wonderful balcony, rent free for local independent businesses to use #supportlocalbusinesses

The events venue (The Granary) is also open for private hire and again, if it is for a local charitable event or local independent business, they offer a discount.

The George, which has been the centre of social and business life of Frome for the past three and a half centuries, is also this year a sponsor of the Frome Festival.
