It was the final Saturday of play up at Fromefield as Frome 2s took on Trowbridge.

In his match report, this from the chairman:

Frome stalwart Nav Asim takes 8-31 as Frome 2's complete the double over their Trowbridge counterparts.

Frome 2nd xi took the spoils on their final league future at Fromefield this afternoon. Batting first, Frome were in early trouble at 19-4,what followed was partnership that proved crucial between Jon Dredge and M Bracher as they scored regularly with Jon Dredge the last man out as Frome amassed 172 all out in the final over of their innings.

Following the break Trowbridge started well , finding the boundary with ease and looking comfortable, the fall of the first wicket proved crucial, with a delivery from Asim keeping low.

Trowbridge opener Reynard could count himself unlucky being bowled, what followed was an exceptional spell of bowling from Asim, using the conditions and pitch to his advantage that turned the game in the hosts favour as he took the first 8 wickets to fall , Ford and Wheeler picked up the final two wickets to dismiss the visitors for 94 to give Frome a vital victory to keep the chance of running out victors in Wiltshire Covid Division 26 with what could be a winner takes all game at Winsley on the final day of the 2020 season on Saturday 26th September.

Final score: Frome 2 172 all out

Trowbridge 2 94 all out
