The interiors of the first show homes have been revealed at The Old Printworks in Frome.

Launched by developer Acorn Property Group, there are virtual tours available on the site, with Frome designers reportedly on board to help with the details.

The former site of the prolific printworks Butler, Tanner & Dennis, which printed one of the first Penguin books in 1935 is a key historical site in Frome and Acorn say the show homes are inspired by iconic primary colours of Penguin book jackets.

The £45 million (GDV) development is creating 157 homes in Frome which plans to the first homes ready this coming winter.

Originally operating for 165 years, the Butler, Tanner and Dennis printworks worked with Penguin Books Ltd when the first ever ten paperbacks were launched, printing the third edition of Ariel by André Maurois, a biography of poet Percy Bysshe Shelley.

Many of the homes have electric car charging points and Acorn have also built 12 bat houses, 10 bird boxes and specialist bee bricks across the build.

Prices starting from £310,000 for a 3-bedroom semi-detached house and from £400,000 for a 4-bedroom townhouse. For further information, please contact Acorn Property Group on 01373 888 333 or visit visit: www.acornpropertygroup.org.
