The first of the dazzling Frome lanterns took shape today (October 21) in Frome Library ; Lovely to see and so great to have so much young talent on show.

There are a whole trail of lantern making workshops coming into town, including a professional session, although organisers say they are all virtually booked out. So they did ask that if you have booked one of the free making the simpler lanterns, to please turn up so you do not take the place which could be used by another lantern-maker.

The Lantern Parade is one of the highlights of Frome and is on November 24 alongside the Christmas Light switch on..
