Local eco, vegan garment decorating business I Dress Myself opened up their premises to the public on Saturday to hold a charity sale of new, undecorated clothing, raising funds to help the wonderful work of Fair Frome this winter.

Frome residents were generous in their giving, securing new undecorated items ranging from t-shirts to hoodies and other organic cotton or recycled garments for a suggested donation.

The sale ran from 10am to 2pm and saw many enthusiastic supporters bag a bargain whilst helping this much treasured local charity.

Alongside securing cash donations, I Dress Myself also donated all unsold items to Fair Frome so that they might be given out to those in need who are struggling with the cost of living and keeping themselves warm heading into Christmas.

General Manager, Julian Goad had the pleasure of delivering boxes of high quality garments and an envelope full of cash to Fair Frome's premises on Wednesday, handing everything across to the charities Senior Coordinator Lenka Grimes.

"I know I speak for everyone at I Dress Myself when I commend the wonderful work of Fair Frome. It was my first visit to their new premises on the Marston Estate and I was really impressed by the scale of support they give to those who need it in our community. Our ability to play a small part in that is a privilege and we were thrilled to help."

Lenka was delighted to receive the generous cash donation of £418 from the charity sale and five boxes of garments that will be distributed to Food Bank users.

"I Dress Myself is a wonderful local business with a great ethos and we were delighted when they approached Fair Frome to offer us the opportunity to be involved and benefit from their Charity Sale of clothing garments. The cash donation will go towards buying extra Christmas Food for our growing number of people in the Frome community accessing our Food Bank.

"We will also be able to offer them brand new clothing items when they come in which will be an added bonus as many are experiencing rising living costs. Many Thanks to 'I Dress Myself' and we look forward to continuing our partnership"
