Open Mental Health (OMH) is pleased to announce its first ever roadshow, to take place on the 10th of October 2022 at the The Cheese and Grain in Frome, Somerset. The event, which will run between 10am and 2pm is aimed at creating community awareness about the various mental health support services available in Somerset and how to access them. The roadshow is a free entry event and will involve local artists' displays, raffle and an opportunity to have one-on-one discussions about mental health with trained volunteers.

Natalie Campbell the Co-production Manager at Rethink Mental Illness and event coordinator notes that the roadshow presents a great learning opportunity to people in the Mendip area.

"Very often, mental health is not taken seriously until people are in a crisis. Part of the reason we are organising this event is to provide members of the public with the information and awareness they need so that they are able to get the right support at the right time." she says.

The Mendip Roadshow is the first of several other planned across Somerset. There will be some bites to eat, something to drink and an arts exhibition featuring local artists. Learn more about us and what we do. All welcome!
