Merlin Theatre's spring season has been announced

By Guest 30th Dec 2019

Merlin Theatre, Frome is delighted to announce that its new spring programme has now been announced; those who signed up during last year will have received a brochure by post and all the details of comedy, theatre, dance, workshops for the children and the many upcoming community events can all be found online.

Theatre Director, Claudia Pepler said:"We have had a great year; Frome is a wonderful place and it is down to the support of local people that we continue to run so vibrantly. Community is at the heart of Frome and the heart of the Merlin; staffed largely by volunteers, we set off into 2020 with some wonderful community projects packed with local actors doing shows for the sheer joy of it, such as Dad's Army, coming our way. Contrast with that some of the most extraordinary talented dancers currently working in this country, we have the Mark Bruce Dance Company. We have new theatre piece 'Alright' produced by a young team who are now professional, having cut their teeth right here in Frome at the Merlin in amateur community work. And for comedy at its finest we are very proud to bring such funny bones as Andy Parsons and Mark Thomas ... and this list so far doesn't even mention our live-screening and musical theatre showings. I encourage people to look at the website, follow us on social media or of course you can pick up a brochure any time."

The Merlin's 2020 spring programme can be found at ww.merlintheatre.co.uk or local people can call into the theatre any week day morning (re-opening on 6th January) for a printed brochure.
