Motorcyclist dies following crash with lorry near Frome

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a collision near Frome on Friday.

Emergency services were called to the crash between a motorbike and a lorry on the A361 shortly before 2.15pm on Friday 23 August.

The motorbike rider died at the scene. The man's next of kin have been informed.

"Our thoughts go out to them and we will ensure they are supported by a specially-trained officer," an Avon and Somerset Police statement said.

"Witnesses, or anyone with dashcam, are asked to contact us online or call 101 and quote reference log number 595 of 23 August."

The road, between the Marston Road and Blatchbridge roundabouts, was closed for much of the afternoon as emergency services attended the scene.
